Pokemon
Pokemon are vicious creatures that have little to no intelligence that can even compare to a human's. There are few exceptions to this, as some Pokemon demonstrate high IQ's, however, they are not considered sentient and only have achieved sapience. In general, every Pokemon is treated as an animal. They are pets, workers, game, and fighters for human entertainment.

Evolution
Happiness: you must post with your Pokemon and have them be active in a few threads. When you think it is ready to evolve, contact staff.
Time of Day: contact staff and take them to the thread where it is the proper time of day. You need at least 4 post in this thread.
Time of Day with Happiness: contact staff and take them to the thread where it is the time of day and ensure you have a few threads with this Pokemon already active in them which you can link as well as at least 3 post in said time of day thread.
Item: obtain the item and contact staff.
Certain area: ask staff where you must train the Pokemon. This can vary per Pokemon.
Trading: Contact staff to evolve this Pokemon after a thread or two with said Pokemon. We don't want anyone walking around with a level 20 Gengar, now do we?
Item with Trading: contact staff after you obtain said item.
Mega Evolution: obtain the stone and equip it to the Pokemon. Ensure there is a staff monitoring your battle thread before you mega evolve. You can only mega evolve once in a battle, so use it wisely. Mega Evolutions is not permanent.[/ul]
Capture:
Battles
Member versus Member: honor system is the only thing you need to know. You may need to decide who is going to win before hand. Or use your common sense. If the other member has a Venusaur and you have a Squirtle, you should assume you are going to lose. Badly. Common sense goes a long way. Of course, in battles where you want to see who is actually stronger with no deciding who wins, you must have a staff watching over the battle. They will interject with proper HP loss calculations and correct mistakes or say there are too many dodges. At the end of the battle, only one member should walk away or there will be a tie.
Arena Battles: this is where Pokemon are pit against each other with no commands given. These Pokemon are usually wild. The two people that either captured, tamed, or are representing one of the opposing sides will take control of the Pokemon and battle the other in a member versus member scenario with a staff watching over the battle. These battlers can be elected or they can volunteer. [/ul]
